Waimanoni Marae Fundraisers
 
    WAIMANONI MARAE GALA DAY

    Well, we had the gala Saturday 24th February and it went off pretty well. Conky and Raymond did the
    sausage sizzle, Babe, Evon, Rachael and whanau did the batons up and raffles, JK and Wendy did
    their stall, Anthony and whanau sold food, candy floss and collected the hangi money, Nata and
    Carol had a stall and so did Kiri Matiu. Bootsie sold the ice-cream and David Russell donated
    peruperu for the fundraiser while Pete Smith provided the smoked tuna (yum). Did I miss anyone
    else.....sorry if I did.

    A total of $3875.60 was raised less $697.70 expenses = $3177.90. I think that was a marvellous
    effort and I have to take my hat off to Mr. Awarau who did what he had to do in 5 weeks to bring his pet
    project to fruition.

    The money raised will go to the renovation/rebuilding project. This could be an annual event and a
    good get together for all whanau of Waimanoni. Just wanted to let you all know because we're pretty
    stoked up here. (- Mere Henry)
 
    WAIMANONI HOUSIE COMMITTEE

    The Waimanoni Housie Committee was founded 4 years ago.

    At the end of the last financial year this group raised $56,000 toward the new ablution block for
    Waimanoni Marae.

    Last month the Waimanoni Marae Committee shouted the full team of 36 volunteers to a well
    deserved Christmas Dinner to thank them for their generosity and hard work for our marae.
